Best Places for Eating and Shopping in Munnar
Nestled in the Western Ghats of Kerala, Munnar in the Idukki district has been attracting foreigners from everywhere due to its untouched natural beauty and decent climate. Encompassing an extensive stretch of cardamom and tea cultivations, the town gets its name from the three rivers meeting at a scenic point: Moonu meaning Three and Aaru meaning River. Virgin forests, waterfalls, picturesque valleys, rolling hills, and stretching tea plantations together deliver a memorable holiday experience to a traveler. It is true that the destination is ideal for adventure enthusiasts, nature fans, and wild life buffs but it does not mean that food lovers and shopping aficionados will not enjoy here.
Just like its endless picturesque beauty, there are relentless options for enjoying mouth-watering delicacies. Although there are no luxurious restaurants, the small food stalls and traditional eateries offer you lip-smacking dishes. The famous Kerala style preparations served on banana leaf are best enjoyed at Sravana Bhavan on M.G. Road and Hotel Srinivas on GH Road at affordable rates. For tasting tantalizing fast food, do enter into the Bamboo Hut on GH road. This is where you can savor soups, snacks, salads, and entrees. If Spanish omelets or Israeli preparations entice you, the Rapsy Restaurant in the market is the best place to be! In case you love the street food, do not forget to try the delicious Gobi Noodles and other snacks around the local bus stand.
Macau Walking Tour
A Macau walking tour is the best way to explore the place at your own pace. It's easy to walk, full of fun and covers the gems of Macau sightseeing. You're going to see from historical landmarks to contemporary Vegas style casinos.
Even you have only half a day, you would be able to do a walking tour and get the best out of Macau sightseeing.
Macau Walking Tour Golden Route
Everything started at Senado Square, with neighborhood Leal Senado, central fountain, Holy House of Mercy and Central Post Office. The route has two parts, both interesting and fun.
Here's the routing and major points of interest of this 2-hour walking tour which I've recently walked through.
