Planning a Visit to Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace
Buckingham Palace
You might have heard of this place in many movies or TV shows. It is where Queen Elizabeth II calls home. The inside is truly a sight to see.

Summertime Visits

If you are lucky enough to visit London in the summer, you might even get a great chance to see the inside of the palace, while the Queen is away on vacation. The inside has a cafe in it and you also get to see part of the garden and landscape area. If you appreciate the nature, you will want to see just how artful this spot can be. Do not worry though if you do not get to visit in the summertime, there is artwork that can be seen year-round. At the Queen's Gallery, you can see some treasure and other paintings that were done by famous artists Rubens and Rembrandt. The prices are very cheap as well to see the palace.

Souvenirs

What is a visit without some souvenirs? You can get some limited edition gift boxes while you are at the palace. You can get this box online and receive tickets to get into the palace at anytime you would like. It would make a great gift for someone looking to go into the palace. Make sure you get the box ahead of time and book a visit for the summer if you are really interested in seeing a lot of the inside. You can get either the Windsor Castle Gift Box or the State Rooms, Buckingham Palace Gift Box. Both are fantastic and an excellent value.

Children Visits

If you have children in your party, make sure they know how to come along on the trip to the Royal Mews and have fun. Your family can take the free family audio tour and breathe in the rich history that this part of London has to offer you. You can get a guided tour from Alex, and you will be assured that you will get a good tour. He was raised in this part of London and knows it better than anyone. You can really be a part of London by experiencing what a Rolls Royce is all about as well as all of the wonderful things that nature has in store for you. You can even get on a wonderful Cinderella-like horse drawn carriage and take a gallop around the crowded streets. These activities are fantastic for the pre-teen in your life. They will cherish it for a very long time and always remember it. Make sure you visit from March to October to have the best chance of getting aboard one of these great tours. If you are just there for a weekend, you can check out the Learning Room which features some great artwork shops that your children will enjoy. They can even create their own carriage and a variety of other things to keep them busy.

In conclusion, all of these wonderful things to do in and near Buckingham Palace will be some great things to check out during the summer if you get a chance to get there during that time. If you do not, there is still plenty that you can see and do here. Be sure to bring along your children for an even better experience.
